These Terms govern access to and use of Lovera, an AI character-chat and virtual-companion application (the “App”). By accessing or using Lovera, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What Lovera provides
Lovera lets users interact with fictional AI characters through generated conversations and any related features made available in the App. Character descriptions and responses are created or presented for entertainment, storytelling, and companionship. Features may change, be limited, or become unavailable.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Lovera. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to accept these Terms. Do not use the App if you are not eligible.
3. AI-generated interactions
AI characters are fictional and are not real people. Their messages are generated by automated systems and may be inaccurate, inconsistent, unexpected, or unsuitable for a particular situation. The App is for entertainment and companionship, not professional advice or a substitute for human relationships, medical care, mental-health care, legal advice, financial advice, or emergency services. Do not rely on a character for decisions that require qualified professional judgment.
4. Your content
You remain responsible for the messages you send, a profile photo you upload, and speech you submit on a voice call (“User Content”). You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit it and that doing so does not violate law or another person’s rights.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive permission to store User Content on your device and to transmit chat text to Moonshot AI’s Kimi API only as needed to provide the feature you use, subject to the Privacy Notice and applicable law. A profile photo stays on your device and is not sent to the AI provider. A voice call is turned into text on your device; the App does not keep the recording. Lovera does not use your conversations to train models.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Lovera to:
- violate applicable law or another person’s rights, including privacy and intellectual-property rights;
- threaten, harass, exploit, impersonate, or target people for abuse;
- create or distribute sexual content involving minors, or use the App to groom or exploit minors;
- create non-consensual intimate imagery or use another person’s likeness in a deceptive or abusive way;
- promote violence, self-harm, terrorism, or other serious harm;
- distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the service, or probe its systems without permission;
- bypass safety controls, abuse automated systems, or use the App to generate content prohibited by applicable law; or
- use the App for unlawful commercial exploitation, spam, or fraudulent activity.
We do not operate user accounts. Reporting a message hides it on your device. We cannot remotely suspend an individual user or delete content from a device.
6. Ownership and intellectual property
Lovera and its software, branding, interface, design, and materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the App for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted unless stated expressly.
As between you and us, you retain rights you hold in User Content. Rights in AI-generated output may depend on applicable law, the input used, and third-party provider terms. You are responsible for reviewing generated output before saving, publishing, or sharing it.
7. Availability, changes, and paid features
We may update, add, restrict, or discontinue features for operational, safety, or business reasons. If the App offers subscriptions, in-app purchases, or other paid features, the price, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms shown at purchase will apply together with applicable platform rules and law. The App currently does not offer subscriptions, in-app purchases, or paid features. Therefore, there are currently no renewal, cancellation, or refund terms.
8. Third-party services
Chat replies are generated by Moonshot AI’s Kimi API. Voice calls use the speech-recognition service on your device to turn speech into text, and your device’s text-to-speech service to read replies aloud. Those providers’ terms and privacy notices apply to their processing. This does not limit rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that AI responses will always be accurate, safe, or suitable. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Subject to that rule, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the App. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Lovera at any time by uninstalling the App. Lovera does not create user accounts, so there is no account to suspend or close. If the service is discontinued, notice will be given in the App where notice is required. Sections that by their nature should continue after you stop using the App will remain in effect.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted with a new “Last updated” date. If the law requires notice or consent for a material change, we will follow that requirement. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Governing law and contact
These Terms are subject to the mandatory laws that apply to you.
